Almost, just, made it

We all live our lives alone. No one can fully know what it is like to be you, no matter how much you tell them about it.
And no matter how rich, thin, beautiful, happy, successful, lucky, popular, people may seem to you, everyone has their trials and tribulations in life and everyone feels that human loneliness, sometimes. And sometimes it’s the ones that appear to have it all that are suffering the most.
The human condition is such that it will always want more. So even people who look like they have everything, like Beyonce, Barack Obama (my personal favourites), or your next door neighbour, they are mere mortals and still have good and bad days. And also, still might feel like, until they achieve their next goal, they haven’t quite got there. But the truth is, there is no ‘there’.
This is it.

slowly, slowly, catch them stars
This is your life.
And sure, it might not be what you imagined it to be, but however much you reject that fact, it’s still what it is. And of course, having goals in life is fun, and the results can be satisfying and fulfilling, but if you’re not enjoying the process of getting there and the pleasures that your current world has to offer, then maybe you need a rethink. Because wherever you want to get to, regadless, you have to start from here.
So appreciate the highs of your present, and accept the lows, too. Because, as the wise American poet, Henry Wadsworth once said: “In every life a little rain must fall.”
But this is the only life you’re ever going to get, right here, right now. And sometimes, walking in the rain is ok, too.
